When creating your website you’ll expect people to find it – This is where search engines come in to crawl through millions of websites each day updating and adding new websites to the indexes.

If you’re starting a new website, it’s basically starting from scratch – You’ll need to work your way up the search engine rankings and provide relevant information on your website about your business.

What do we do?

We will help you get this relevant information on your website in a readable and searchable format. We will format your text and highlight any key phrases that are relevant in your business. This is just adding content to the website in the correct format.

On all of our website packages we also do the following:

  1. Optimise the website page Titles, Keywords and Descriptions – These are called meta tags.
  2. Create site-maps for search engines so they can get notified if you update any of your content or pages and have an index of your pages.
  3. Go through your website text moving important parts where needed and highlighting important text that should stand out.
  4. Add Alternative and Title tags to all the images so Search Engines can actually see there is an image there and know what it’s for.
  5. If you’re a new business with a brand new website, we’ll submit your website to Google, Yahoo! and Bing search engines to get you started.
  6. Give you FREE advice regarding your next steps for your website.

 

What don’t we do?

We do not have any SEO packages available for purchase, we will only provide the basic requirements for SEO on your website – The details of exactly what we provide are listed above.

  1. We do NOT provide any dedicated SEO services, these are usually done on a monthly basis by companies and require on-going maintenance.
  2. We do NOT provide any Pay-Per-Click or Pay-Per-Impression advertising services (such as Google Adwords, Facebook Ads etc.)
  3. We do NOT list your website in third party web directories, this is up to the owner of the website to do.
  4. We normally do not keep updating your website SEO aspects, however, if you have researched the requested changes already in a readable format – We can add these for you.

You’re probably wondering why we don’t offer the above services? The services listed above require on-going maintenance and are very time consuming. Macmillan Web Media are strictly a design and development team and currently we do not have any marketing/advertising services available.

If you’re using a content management system (normally WordPress, if provided by us) then your website will be set-up so certain aspects of SEO can be updated/adjusted easily. We provide an SEO plug-in with every brand new WordPress website so you can manage it yourself. WordPress is one of the best content management systems for updating and managing every aspect of your website.
